Cardiac Testing: EKG, EEG & Holter Monitor

• An EKG, or electrocardiogram, records your heart's electrical activity and can detect irregular rhythms, signs of a previous heart attack, and other concerns. 
• An EEG, or electroencephalogram, measures electrical activity in the brain and is used to evaluate neurological symptoms. 
• A Holter monitor works similarly, but it's a small wearable device that tracks your heart continuously over 24 to 48 hours, which is especially useful when symptoms come and go.

Spirometry & Pulmonary Function Testing

Spirometry is a simple breathing test that measures how much air you can inhale and exhale, and how quickly you can do it. During the test, you'll breathe into a mouthpiece connected to a device called a spirometer. It's painless, takes just a few minutes, and can give Dr. Guevara a clear picture of how well your lungs are functioning.
